My drones can only be officially registered, and therefore flown legally, once my visa has been granted.
The reason is a small detail with a big effect: registering with Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism requires a Japanese phone number. You can only get one with a registered residence, and that is only possible with a visa. Travellers often give their hotel’s number instead. But I live in my own house in Hamada, so there is no hotel.
That is why I have not yet been allowed to include such a video here. It will of course follow once the permit is granted.
